Our school celebrated Pongal on 18 January 2024.As usual assembly was conducted in the morning. The Headmistress delivered a speech regarding pongal and upcoming academic events. The celebration started from noon onwards. They announced that each and every class should draw a kolam, a group of teachers visited in place of every class kolam and put marks. At 4:15 p.m when school gets over,every students were given pongal in their tiffin by the school for eating after they reached home. The results were published on the next day in assembly. It was a nice celebration students enjoyed very well.

In our shool prize distributing ceremony was held in the assembly. As usual the morning assembly was conducted in 9:15 a.m. After prayer and all, the P T mam announced the names of those students who get prizes for various cultural events held in different college's.As it's during the time of 'Kalaithiruvizha' many students participated in various events. By giving prizes and honouring them on behalf of all students make the motivated for further participation and by seeing other students also have the will to participate in different events in the coming years. The ceremony ended with National Anthem.

On 26 November 2023 our school celebrated The Constitution Day.As usual the assembly was there, but inside every classes.After the assembly one Social Science teacher came and told everyone to take the pledge for the nation's well-being by remembering the day, which our leaders framed Constitution for the first time our country on 26 November 1949.As a result of that students in every classes stand and took pledge for 5-10minutes.

World Wetland Day was celebrated in our school. In the morning assembly H.M maa'm delivered a speech regarding the protection of wetlands, thereby plastics should be avoided in the school premises, say about the importance of trees to the students etc. As a result of that she announced students should bring paper bags instead of plastic bags for carrying lunch. Some officials also visit the school that day. They also told about conservation of wetlands to students. After that rally's are also conducted. The programme gets finished by noon.

Children's Day was celebrated on 14 November 2023 in Government Higher Secondary School (Model), Ashokapuram.Morning assembly was conducted at 9:15.During the time of assembly, many speeches regarding Children's Day was held as this day was celebrated as the birthday of our first Prime Minister Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru. Many students participated in that event.The school Principal delivered a very good speech.Followed by the morning programme exhibition was conducted in the afternoon.Many students make lots of creative works and display for seeing.Students and teachers' from nearby schools came for watching them. The exhibition overed by 4:15p.m.

Our school celebrated Swaraswathi Pooja on 20 October 2023.As pooja holidays started from next day onwards.For this, the whole school surrounding's should be cleaned by staffs.By evening 4'o clock onwards H M maa'm along with other teaching and non- teaching staffs and all the trainee teacher's assemble in the staff room and attend the pooja.They kept their books, pens, registers and all for pooja. After the pooja the teacher's distributed prasad to all students and wished them 'Happy Pooja Holidays'.
